The course of the River Unstrut: (starting in Sömmerda) – Gorsleben – Sachsenburg( ruins of the Castle Sachsenburg, Thüringer Pforte) – Oldisleben (former sugar factory, mill weir) – Heldrungen(water castle)- Bretleben(museum of local history, Erich’s Hof ) –Artern(Slip plant, sluice, town hall, Salinepark, salt outdoor pool) – Ritterburg (weir with sluice, hop on/ hop off stop,request campsite) – Schönewerda – Bottendorf(hop on/hop off stop, request stop) – Roßleben (monastic school, Model Railway Wiehe: 4km) –over to Wendelstein.
