Veits-Church in Artern
The Romanic church is one of the oldest medieval
constructions of the town. It dates back to the middle of the 13th
century. Especially interesting is the cross-shaped ground plan of the
building with a tower over the crossing of the nave. Regular exhibitions,
concerts, readings.

St. Trinity Church in Sondershausen
The spacious and illuminated church with baroque style and historical
furnishing belongs to the oldest preserved buildings of the town. It was
completely reconstructed from 1987 to 1997. In the same year
the newly-built Hey-Organ was
dedicated. Regular organ concerts.

Oberkirche (High Consistory Church) Bad Frankenhausen
One of the oldet
buildings of the town in Old-Gothic-style was errected in 1382. With an
angular position of 3.93 metres the tower is the leanest in Germany.
Cause for the changes are geological circumstances which lead to a
sinking of the ground.

Monastery Donndorf
The first mentioning of the monastery in a document
dates back to 1250. The nuns of the monastery lived according to the
rules of the Cistercian order. From 1992 - 1996 the monastery
construction was reconstructed. From that time it is used by the
Ländliche Heimvolkshochschule Thüringen for educational purposes and
meetings.
